Ingredients

  • 1 (30 oz) can pork and beans
  • 1 (15 oz) can butter beans, drained
  • 2 (10.75 oz) cans tomato soup
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½–1 lb bacon
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1 cup brown sugar (adjust to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the bacon: In a large skillet, fry bacon until crispy. Remove, drain on paper towels, and crumble into pieces. Reserve the bacon grease.
  3. Brown the beef & onions: In the same skillet with bacon grease, cook the ground beef and onions over medium heat until the beef is no longer pink. Drain excess fat if needed.
  4. Combine ingredients: In a large bowl, mix the pork and beans, drained butter beans, tomato soup, cooked beef and onions, crumbled bacon, and brown sugar. Stir well.
