Creamy Garlic Prawn Spaghetti – Restaurant-Worthy in 20 Minutes!

This Prawn Spaghetti combines al dente pasta with plump, juicy prawns in a luxurious garlic-infused cream sauce. A touch of white wine, lemon, and parsley elevates this dish into a sophisticated yet easy weeknight dinner. Perfect for seafood lovers!

Ingredients (Serves 2-3):

For the Pasta:

  • 8 oz (225g) spaghetti
  • 1 tbsp salt (for pasta water)

For the Prawns:

  • 12 oz (350g) large prawns, peeled & deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup dry white wine (or chicken stock)
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan
  • Salt & black pepper to taste

Instructions:

1️⃣ Cook Pasta:

  1. Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.

2️⃣ Sauté Prawns:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add prawns, season with salt/pepper, and cook for 1-2 mins per side until pink. Remove and set aside.

3️⃣ Make the Sauce:

  1. In the same pan, sauté garlic and red pepper flakes for 30 seconds.
  2. Deglaze with white wine, simmering for 1 minute.
  3. Stir in cream, lemon juice, and ¼ cup pasta water. Simmer for 2-3 mins until slightly thickened.

4️⃣ Combine & Serve:

  1. Return prawns to the pan, add spaghetti, and toss to coat.
  2. Stir in parsley and Parmesan. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
  3. Garnish with extra Parmesan and parsley.

Pro Tip: For extra flavor, use prawn shells to make a quick stock for the sauce!
