🥗 For the Fresh Salad:
- Mixed salad greens
- ½ cucumber, sliced
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- ½ bell pepper, sliced
- 1 tsp French mustard
- Salt and black pepper
- Olive oil
👨🍳 Instructions:
Step 1: Season & Stuff the Chicken
Season chicken fillets with salt, pepper, and sweet paprika. In a bowl, mix onions, garlic, mushrooms, cheese, and parsley. Spread this mixture evenly over each chicken fillet.
Step 2: Roll & Wrap
Roll up each chicken fillet tightly and secure with toothpicks if needed. Wrap each roll with bacon slices to add flavor and crispiness.
Step 3: Sear the Rolls
In a skillet, heat olive oil. Sear the chicken rolls on all sides until golden brown. Transfer to an oven-safe dish.
Step 4: Bake Until Tender
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked and the filling is bubbly.
Step 5: Prepare the Side Potatoes
Peel and cut the potatoes into wedges or cubes. Toss with salt, pepper, and olive oil, then roast alongside the chicken for a crispy side.
Step 6: Make the Creamy Sauce (Optional)
Mix milk with a pinch of salt and dill. Drizzle over the chicken or serve on the side.
Step 7: Assemble the Plate
Serve hot with roasted potatoes and a fresh garden salad dressed with mustard, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
📝 Tips:
- Substitute the mushrooms with spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for variety.
- Add a splash of cream or sour cream to the sauce for extra richness.
- These rolls can be prepped ahead and refrigerated before baking.
- Leftovers store well in the fridge and reheat beautifully in the oven.
