Classic Butter Cake – Rich, Moist & Irresistibly Buttery!

This Butter Cake is a timeless favorite, boasting a tender crumb, golden crust, and pure vanilla flavor. Made with simple ingredients, it’s perfect for afternoon tea, birthdays, or any day that calls for a slice of comfort!

Ingredients (Serves 8-10):

For the Cake:

  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1½ cups (300g) granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup (240ml) whole milk

Optional Glaze:

  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

1️⃣ Prep & Mix:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch bundt pan or loaf pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy (3-4 mins).
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then vanilla.

2️⃣ Dry Ingredients:

  1. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Alternate adding flour mixture and milk to butter mixture, beginning and ending with flour.

3️⃣ Bake:

  1. Pour batter into prepared pan. Smooth top.
  2. Bake 50-60 mins until a toothpick comes out clean.
  3. Cool in pan 10 mins, then transfer to a wire rack.

4️⃣ Glaze (Optional):

  1. Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Drizzle over cooled cake.
