Garlic Butter Shrimp (10-Minute Gourmet Appetizer or Main)

Indulge in these succulent, garlicky shrimp—seared in sizzling butter with a splash of white wine, lemon, and parsley. Perfect over pasta, with crusty bread, or as a stand-alone star!

Ingredients

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled, deveined)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt & black pepper

To Finish:

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges

Instructions

1️⃣ Sear Shrimp:

  • Pat shrimp dry. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Melt 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook 1-2 mins per side until pink. Remove and set aside.

2️⃣ Make Sauce:

  • In the same pan, melt remaining butter. Sauté garlic and red pepper flakes for 30 sec.
  • Deglaze with wine and lemon juice. Simmer 2 mins until slightly reduced.

3️⃣ Combine & Serve:

  • Return shrimp to pan. Toss to coat. Sprinkle with parsley.
